Microsoft developing for the iPhone?

Technology

Apple Inc.Image via Wikipedia Microsoft has delivered it’s first application for the iPhone ‘platform’. The app, called ‘SeaDragon Mobile‘, was released onto the app store today.

Here’s what it delivers (straight from livelabs.com):
“Seadragon is designed to provide next-generation visual experiences, regardless of the size of the screen, size of the file or speed of your network. It’s already available on a number of platforms, including Microsoft Surface, and in Photosynth and Silverlight. Now we’re bringing that same graphical smoothness right to the iPhone in your pocket.”

Hmm, a taste of things to come? Will MS be delivering more app’s
into Apple’s mobile platform? If they are smart and less egotistical, then yes. I for one, would love to see the traditional MS app’s like MS Office be available on the iPhone. A step in the right direction for now…remember, to survive in the new digital economy, it is more important than ever to be collaborative vs being monopolistic.
