“Save the words” is an interesting web site put up by the folks at the Oxford English Dictionary. The site lists all those words in the English language that are in danger of extinction and allows you to adopt one such word to save it from disappearing from the English language. Lexicographers continually scout written content for the usage of words in the English language and those words that are not frequently used are dropped over time. Be warned, the words are not your common place words. Makes me think that the common english speaking person has become a foppotee.
