This was predictable (sadly), once the magazine announced that they were going under (well, a buyout still might be possible) I was ready for this announcement. All past issues are now available in PDF format. Go grab them while they are up and archive them someplace. Pull them out when you are looking for some photographic inspiration.

I am really looking forward to news from them that they have been acquired versus shutting down. From their blog, seems like they have a couple of options that they are considering…coolio!

I’ve written about Jeffrey Friedl’s awesome focus test charts. Today Jeffrey announced on his blog that he has been working with a company to get his focus chart system, along with a lens alignment, combined into a product called the “LensAlign Focus Calibration System”. The product can be ordered from the company’s website.

Special thanks goes out to Jeffrey for his continued efforts in getting these nuggets out.

The Imaging Resource has a good review of the system.

Update: You can use coupon code LAPCP2 to get a discount on your order of the LensAlign. The code is from the back of a photography magazine….that’s what I was told. Anywho, I ordered mine today so expect a detailed post on my first impressions once I have the product in hand.
